Memorial Weekend

It was a nice break to go on a drive to Cove Fort and Fremont Indian State Park.  Thank you Scott for taking me even though we left in a torrential downpour and 30 mph winds.  Luckily it wasn't raining at our destination and we got to tour the museum and hike.  A very large Fremont village was discovered here when they built I-70.  They had to excavate and collect as much as they could before they leveled the hill and the sites.  We enjoyed the rock art.

Annie's 1 year B-day party

She ate her cake, worked hard to open her gifts, and was a very happy little gal even with all of the visitors.

Here are some pictures of Cove Fort, built in 1860-something.  I didn't have my camera, so these are borrowed from the internet.  Celeste was very patient during the long tour.  It was fun to see blankets and other things made in the 1850's.

We finished the weekend with a yummy grilled dinner sponsored by Scott's parents.

Potty Training Status

I'm finally getting serious about potty training.  I didn't want to start until C. was really ready.  I also wanted to wait so that there weren't any accidents on my in-laws carpet.  I think she is old enough now and can physically do it.  Also I can always shampoo my in-laws' carpet. So here is the first reward we are starting with.  Every time she uses the potty she gets to add a fish sticker to anywhere she wants in the ocean.  After a whole day w/o accidents she gets to cover a bubble.  After 7 accident free days she gets a wading pool.  Then we'll think of new rewards, until she has it down.  As of today she only has 2 day left to get the pool.

Lost and Found

Last Sunday someone turned in my lost GPS to the police station, and they called our house.  It gave the person who answered the phone a heart attack when they heard, "This is officer Green from the police dept." It had fallen out of my jogging stroller in Santaquin Canyon. What a nice person there is out there somewhere.  So glad my name was written on it.  The crazy thing is it still works!


Also my camera memory card was lost.  It fell into my box of not-frequently used linens.) But now it's found.  Hooray!  Here are some of the items that were stuck on my camera:

After visiting the BYU anthropology museum I decided to look for the one standing Fremont Indian pueblo (1000 years old) in Utah county.  BYU recently excavated it and had artifacts in museum.  It's about 10 miles from our house.  I didn't get a visual on it but I think it's near the trees in the middle of the picture.  This is a mile or two from the Jerusalem set where the church is filming new testament videos of the Savior's life.  

I also liked the corralled tumble weeds.

 We had a fun visit from Scott's sister Emily and her family.  Jed is growing up.  They drove all the way from Georgia.  Celeste and Jed had fun together.

I'm growing out C.'s bangs for fun.  The other Sunday went to look for her in primary and didn't recognize her for a few seconds.  The same thing happened to Scott the next week when he went to get her from Primary.
