A Lovely Lunch

About 9 months ago Bethany had a job that she loved that had excellent pay and great benefits. Now she stays at home and plays with Celeste all day, makes fabulous meals with no pay and only fringe benefits. She is either crazy or in love, or maybe a little of both making her crazy in love. What ever she is I love her and love having her at home making crazy in love lunches for us to eat on the back porch. The lyrics to a shaker song come to mind.

A Whole Lotta Sharing Going On

You know how people teach their children to share. Celeste is already good at it. She caught a cold and the snotty nose that goes with it. Celeste shared it with her daddy, who shared it with me. She shared it with her cousin Jackson, who shared it with his dad, so Katrina look out, there's a trend here. We're mostly over it, so don't worry to much.

I just noticed that she has a snotty nose in these pictures. Oh Well.

We had fun when the Provoans came to visit this weekend. Celeste in particular enjoyed Jackson who is close to her age. She is 6 1/2 months and he is 7 1/2 months.

Spontaneous FHE / Fishing Trip

Celeste enjoyed looking at the creek, trees, and campfire.

We went to Birch Creek last night. It's a BLM campground that is 9+ miles long. I've made many maps of it. Scott caught a lot of little rainbow trout. Celeste and Bethany enjoyed the scenery. We had chili dogs and dutch oven peach cobbler. We were lucky to find a can opener for sale at the cafe up the highway because ours didn't come on the trip. It's a neat area. The Lemhi Shoshone camped and hunted here. There is a large panel of prehistoric rock paintings across the highway from there. The Nez Perce had a skirmish with miners here when they were fleeing the US military. There are old mines and ghost towns. We hope to go camping in the mountains above it in August when the snow melts.

Celeste Watching the Fire

Tomorrow (May 6) is going to be a very exciting day! We get to go to the Bonneville County Court house to finalize Celeste's adoption. We are very excited and working on getting ready for the celebration.

Celeste wanted to eat the cake, but I think she was only able to get a tiny taste of the frosting. She'll have to wait for her 1 year birthday to get the real thing.

We got back from our visit to Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake. They looked at Celeste and her X-Rays & Ultra Sounds. We are happy to report that she doesn't need surgery right away. The doctor wants to wait until she is at least a year old. There is still the possibility that she will grow out of the reflux and then she wouldn't need surgery. =O) So in the mean time she will be on preventative antibiotics.
