An actual blog post with pictures

Are you all surprised?  I've finally put something in the blog.  I guess it's been a fun and exciting and busy summer.  I have an September photo folder with 800+ pictures to prove it.  Here are some from October.  It's looking to be another exciting month with birthdays and grandparents departing on a mission,  and moving in to house-sit for them.

Got to get the fishing in while we can.  Here  stare some pictures from Spring Lake and Fish Lake.  The rustic cabin was $15 cheaper than the campground.  We'll take a roof over our heads over a tent on a freezing, very windy night at 9,000 ft, any day.  It was 50 degrees F in the cabin when we woke up, but we were warm and toasty in all of our gear.  Thankfully conference was broadcast by a station in Kanab and Scott made it home for the men's meeting on Saturday.  The colors were great, Celeste and I hiked and Scott caught fish.  We were grateful for lighter fluid on Friday, or the wind would have kept us from heating our hot dogs. Brrrr.

We looked for "Pando" (Latin for 'I spread').  Pando is a giant stand of Aspen trees that is all one organism and is considered by some to be the largest and oldest thing alive (1 million yrs, and 6,000+ tons.)  Pando is right next to fish lake.  We saw a lot of aspen stands, so we probably saw it.
