C.'s first time at the high school track. She was so cute. She knew exactly what to do. She started running and stayed in her lane. She did 600 meters (starting and stopping of course) and didn't want to leave.

Dave and Diane. Uncle Dave is recovering well from brain tumor removal surgery. Every time we visit them, Celeste says "Cheese!" and goes to the kitchen with Diane to get some. Sometimes she says cheese before we even get to their house.

Looking for teepee rings in the Little Lost River Valley. We found 5 or 6 rings of rocks where ancestors of the modern Shoshone had camped. I'd like to go back and look for more.

Note added Sunday, Aug.8: Today at church I learned that Celeste DOES listen to the speakers. On two different occasions angels were mentioned. Both times she responded with "Tooot, tooot, tooot." This is because the statue of angel Moroni on the temple near our house is blowing a trumpet, and Celeste frequently points this out by saying "tooot, tooot, tooot" when she sees him.
C. is also happy about going to nursery class again and stays the whole time. I'm grateful for nursery because hearing the other kids has helped C. to figure out the difference between yes and no. This week she hit an amazing communication mile stone. Instead of answering 'no' to every single question, even when she means 'yes', now she answers 'yeah' when she means it. I'm so excited.
When I ask her if she wants something to eat, I can finally take her answer literally. Well, kind of. She has also figured out that she can delay going to bed if she tells me she's hungry usually by saying 'eat, eat'. She is one very smart kiddo. So we go to the kitchen and I make her a snack and she wont take it because she's not really hungry. So, if we've already done the night time routine, she's had her drink and snack, her teeth are brushed, her prayers are said, etc. and I'm setting her into her crib and she says, 'eat, eat', I won't be fooled.
