Visiting Kitty Cat

This neighbor cat loves exploring our backyard. He's also the most friendly, laid back cat I've ever met. Celeste as recently gotten brave enough to pet him, and he seems to enjoy it. He keeps coming back.

Preschool and other adventures

Heading off to her first regular day of preschool. What an adventure. She got to read books, play with toys, work on letters, have a snack, etc. She loves being with all the kids. When I picked her up she pointed longingly back to preschool and I asked if she wanted to go back and she said yes.

Dreaming of summer and swimming in a pool somewhere.

While Celeste is at preschool 2 x a week I get to do some office work for Scott. He is very happy for the help. "Where's your paperwork?"

This game is almost like candyland, but the game pieces are aliens.

I'm as light as the bubbles!

A pre-scheduled power outage led to a party in G.G. and Grandpa Joe's basement roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. It was during the day so the lucky great-grand kids that were kindergarten or younger go to go. Celeste was in heaven with 3 other girl cousins her age.

Afterwards we played in our backyard with Owen and Cash.

The Snow was perfect!

Accessories were readily on hand.

More Fishing

We had a great adventure up Spanish Fork Canyon where Scott wet his fishing line with flies he tied. Celeste and I enjoyed hiking around.

Before we had Celeste, there was a time when Scott and I were fishing on the Henry's Fork of the Snake River. A family was fishing not far downstream from us. A cute little boy asked his dad, "Daddy, did you catch a fish? Did you catch a fish Daddy? Daddy did you catch a fish? Did you catch a fish Daddy? Did you catch a fish?" (and on and on for quite a while.)

On this trip it was deja vu. When Scott got back to the car there was this conversation:

Celeste: "Daddy, did you catch a fish? Did you catch a fish, Daddy?"

(Then I rolled down the window so he could hear her.)

Celeste: "Daddy, did you catch a fish?"

Scott: "No fish today."

Celeste: "Did you catch anything?"

Scott: "No"

Celeste: "What did you catch Daddy?"

Scott: "I didn't catch anything"

Celeste: "What did you catch?"

Scott: "Nothing."

Celeste: "Did you catch a stick?"

Celeste tossed in a few rocks to make sure the fish were awake.

The we continued on up Diamond Fork which has awesome red rocks. We'll go back in the summer for a picnic and to hike to some hot pools that have a waterfall flowing into them.

We saw lots of mule deer on and near the road.

Further up the road it started to smell like we were in Yellowstone. Then we saw some springs that were the source of the sulfur.

On our way home we got pulled over by a Forest Service Ranger because the little light above my license plate had burned out. Celeste said, "What are those blue and red lights?" I was glad we didn't get a ticket, and maybe it's because of the BLM t-shirt I was wearing. =0)
