Awsome Mesa AZ Adventure

(80+ Pictures, couldn't narrow them down) We had a wonderful, memorable trip to Arizona to visit with Celeste's family.  They are so sweet and wonderful and we can't wait to go back.

On the last evening before going home we ate at a Mc.D's that had the biggest play land ever.

and got her very excited about going on a plane.

The flight attendants gave us snacks and soda pop! We each had our own "table".  Celeste got some new coloring books and stickers.  Take off and landing were pretty fun too. We had gum to help our ears pop. We saw our old Midvale apartment as we flew over it.  Celeste was so good on the plane and had fun.  The only time she was sad, was going through security when her Curious George stuffed animal got to go on a ride through the X-Ray machine and Celeste did not.  She wanted a ride too.  Earlier when told her that he was going to go through the X-Ray machine, Celeste asked, "Is he sick?"

SLC to PHX is a very short trip.

Celeste fell asleep in the rental car, so we all had a little nap.  Then with help from Lana we found her new apartment.  Celeste got to play in the park and swim in Lana's pool.  It had been a few months since Celeste's last swim, but she didn't miss a beat.  It was a nice warm day and the pool was nice and cool.

Celeste got a whole big queen sized bed to herself at our hotel.  She was pretty excited about that.

In Phoenix we saw lots of palm trees and cacti, just like in her books.  They were very interesting and new to Celeste.  She wanted to touch them.   In AZ you can wear shorts and swim outside in October.

When I was a kid there was no fence and we climbed all over this locomotive.  Now there are a dozen or so cats living underneath it.

We all had fun at the bowling alley last night.  Scott had a much higher score than the girls.  Aren't toddler bowling shoes cute?  We played several games.

Mandy went hiking with us up Big Cottonwood Canyon.  It was nice and cool with lovely wildflowers still out.  Celeste gave us a workout by wanting to be carried most of the way.
