We've had several days with temperatures in the 90's. We are definitely feeling it. I moved C.'s toys into the basement where it's cooler. But if you compare this to Phoenix, we have nothing to complain about. Their low is in the 90's.

Today C. stayed in nursery the whole time by herself. I had a rare chance to peak through the window during her singing time. She was doing all of the actions to popcorn popping and at the end of the song she clapped and cheered. It was sooo cute. During the other church meetings I brought a new doll for her to play with that I got yesterday. It kept her attention for exactly 7 minutes. The marker lids kept her attention until almost the end of the meeting.

My aunt and sisters before our 4th of July 5k race. Our team name was "Oh, wow!" C. says the phrase all the time, so that's why it's our team name.

As part of our stake's youth conference they had a Book of Mormon trail where characters from the scriptures came to life all along the trail. Scott portrayed the rebellious Laman.

C. and I got to tag along and see the trail and fancy girls camp. It was beautiful and green and muddy.

C. wanted to portray a Lamanite baby.

We are busy in a good way. We are taking advantage of the warm weather and doing lots of fun things.

Cute things Celeste did yesterday:

• At my cousins bridal shower last night she went to the middle of the room and did a stinkbug head stand, and then went around the room giving each person a fist bump. She skipped me and my mom. I guess she knows we already know how to do it.


• She changed her baby doll's diaper and even wiped the doll's bottom. Then she went and got her own pajamas for me to put on the doll.


• She called me 'Bethany' four times.
  

4th of July Weekend

Coincidence at the Park, or Celeste has boring parents:

Preface: Recently Celeste has learned to make fake snoring noises. We have fun saying "night, night," and then doing the fake snore breathing as we pretend to be asleep.

Celeste and I were swinging on the swings at the park. I had her on my lap. She loves swinging so we were there enjoying the shade for a long time. I started to tell her that when she grows up she can be anything she wants to be, and if she gets an education she might have a job that is really fun. I started mentioning various jobs. Then she let out a great big sigh.

A few minutes later I started telling her how much I loved her and that she is the cutest, smartest, prettiest, stongest, best little girl in the whole world, etc. While I was saying it Celeste started doing her fake snore.

We had a fun little break driving up to Challis. Celeste was happy about her swimwear and voluntarily got in the water.

Celeste got to wear a snazzy floaty suit over her regular suit.

We stopped to look at the 1983 earthquake scar and didn't stay long because of the furocious mosquitos.

You need shoes to go exploring. We stopped near trout haven where my grandparents fished a lot on the Big Lost river.

This is truly amazing considering that every time I take C. to a pool she is scared and stays out of the water. Also the pool attendant said that getting in and out of the water is exactly how toddlers learn to swim. She got in and out at least 50 times. She was figuring out how the water feels.
